DESCRIPTION:Dowser is the original folk-rock duo of John Kurtis Dehn on vocals\, guitar\, and harmonica and John Strei on drums and hand percussion. For more than 10 years\, Dehn played lead guitar\, mandolin\, and banjo with the band\, Bernie King & The Guilty Pleasures. A multi-instrumentalist himself\, Strei most recently played drums in the band\, The Flaming Doublewides. The two have been friends since high school\, and in 2023 united to form Dowser. \nJohn Kurtis Dehn’s songs contain shades of Leonard Cohen\, Tom Waits\, Jackson Browne\, and The Waterboys. His solo album\, “Shovel & Hole” can be streamed on Bandcamp\, Apple Music\, and Spotify.

SUMMARY:Jake La Botz
DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter Jake La Botz plays roots music that reflects his time performing in streets\, bars\, churches\, and even tattoo parlors. You can also hear the various places La Botz has lived in his music — including his time in New Orleans\, the Mississippi Delta\, and his native Chicago where\, as a young man\, he found kinship with some of the last of the pre-war era bluesmen: David “Honeyboy” Edwards\, “Homesick” James Williamson\, and “Maxwell Street” Jimmy Davis. In 2017 and 2019 Jake released his studio albums Sunnyside and They’re Coming for Me on Hi-Style Records to critical acclaim. Produced by Jimmy Sutton\, both albums won Independent Music Awards. Jake has toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe and has shared the stage with Ray Charles\, Etta James\, Dr. John\, Mavis Staples\, JD McPherson\, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells\, Tony Joe White\, Low Cut Connie and a host of other greats.

DESCRIPTION:Pete McCauley and Tim Cheesebrow are a duo from the Twin Cities\, bringing old tunes to life and having a great time doing it. \nPete McCauley (vocals\, mandolin\, guitar): Pete has played in numerous bands over the years. A founding member and the original guitarist for the rock trio Eddie Mac\, he spent a few years traveling the country\, earned a record contract with SPV Records in Germany\, and released two albums with the independent label Mud Hut Records. Pete also writes material for the Hounds of Finn. Pete met Tim a few years back and asked if they should learn some pub tunes and make some noise together…the rest\, as they say\, is history. Not the kind of history that would make it into any sort of book\, but since it is in the past\, it technically is…history. \nTim Cheesebrow (guitar\, vocals\, occasional mandolin and pennywhistle): Tim is primarily a singer/songwriter. He’ s got 6 or so albums under his belt\, several tours and an extensive solo performance career. He’s always had a spot in his heart for traditional Irish and American folk songs\, and jumped at a chance to play this music with Pete. He’s the founder of Discover Music\, a non-profit that teaches kids to write songs as a healthy mode of self discovery and expression\, and is the author of “Songwriting for Wellness: Using Music to Heal the Mind.” \nfacebook page
