DESCRIPTION:Leslie Rich (vocals\, guitar\, keyboards) grew up in Northern Ireland\, listening to a mix of indie rock\, acoustic songwriters and traditional Celtic music. Inspired by artists like Luka Bloom and Throwing Muses\, Leslie became the principal songwriter\, singer and guitarist for bands such as Emily Ryder\, A Little Of The Ready and the Celtic folk band Hounds of Finn\, recording on various labels including Immortal Recordings\, Time To Be Proud Records\, New Folk Records and Loud Folk Records. \nHe founded the Rocket Soul Choir in 1994\, mainly as an acoustic response to the heavy\, guitar-driven\, Irish bands cropping up at that time. Even while Leslie recorded solo albums\, played in other projects and relocated to Minneapolis\, the Rocket Soul Choir continued in various configurations over the years–always with the mission to create stripped-down rock. DESCRIPTION:Bundle & Go is the duo of David and Suzanne Rhees\, two stalwarts of the Twin Cities traditional music scene. They play an eclectic mix of vigorous Irish dance tunes\, slow listening pieces\, and unusual songs\, with a generous sprinkling of tunes from related traditions — Cape Breton\, Welsh\, Scottish\, French-Canadian\, Métis\, Appalachian and more. \nTheir instruments are equally diverse: Suzanne plays Irish flute\, whistles and button accordion\, while Dave plays fiddle\, banjo\, guitar\, mandolin\, harmonica\, ukulele and feet. \nSuzanne has played with accordion master Paddy O’Brien’s group\, O’Rourke’s Feast\, and Dave is a veteran of the band Roisin Dubh. They both were members of Contradictions\, a contradance band\, and La Traversée\, a French-Canadian group. They founded the Keegan’s Irish Pub jam session in Minneapolis and have taught seminars and workshops on the roots and branches of Celtic music for the Irish Fair of Minnesota\, the Minnesota Old Time and Bluegrass Association\, and the Celtic Junction Arts Center.
